Hi I'm Lenae

I'm a teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a special education teacher. I get to be with some of the best people in the world. I enjoy learning musical instruments, creating things like through crocheting, meditating, learning, playing with children, and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I am a seeker of truth. How do I know if this Church is true? When I follow the teaching of the church/ of Christ it persuades me to believe in Christ, to do good, find freedom, feel joy, peace, love, and the Holy Ghost testifies that it is true. Christ said in John 7:17 “If any man will do his will he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” This is true. Basically He says put it to the test by living it. This is how we find any truth. Archeological and other scientific evidence can be interesting, helpful, and backup beliefs, but aren't how we really know truth; (otherwise only the “educated” would be able to know truth) I use these things to find more truth/understanding, but they are not how I know. I know by following how Christ said to find truth- hear/learn the word, have faith, live what you hear, see the results, ask God if it is true, and receive an answer from God by the power of the Holy Ghost. I am a Mormon because I see a need for modern prophets to tell the word of God- continuing revelation, for eternal families with God, for a Savior so I can change and become something, for a personal relationship with God, for authority from God to do these things. I need the Gospel that Christ set up and Mormonism is where I have found it. It is true! God has born witness to me. That’s why I’m a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow in the steps of the Savior- living my life for others- loving and serving. I attend church meetings and the temple as well as hold a church calling/responsibility. Meetings, the temple and calling are ways I worship God and serve others. I live my faith by striving to be like Jesus- relying on Him who has power to save me.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Lenae
Baptism is a commandment from God which is necessary for our Salvation as recorded in Mark 16:16. This has been reaffirmed by God through modern prophets. Show more Show less
