Hi I'm Lindsay

I am from Washington state. I love to ski. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University in Provo. I love it here for SO many reasons. Most of all, I can be up at the ski resorts in a matter of minutes. I started skiing when I was three, and I have never looked back. It is great to be out at the resorts, I really feel my Heavenly Father's love for me. This Earth is for me, he loved me enough to let me come here. I also like to run. I have't always liked running. It is hard to get in shape and actually like it. There are some days I don't like it. But I was blessed with a body that lets me go out and run, so I will take advantage of that blessing. If I had to sum me up in a few words, I would say "Outdoors lover". I love to camp, hike, run, ski, boat. I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for the beautiful world in which I live.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. Sometimes I think what life would be like if I weren't part of my family or part of this Gospel. I know life is still great for those who aren't members, but for me I would be a totally different person. I never questioned the truthfulness of the Gospel. It is the small things that testify to me that it is true. The feeling I get seeing the Temple. The feeling I get when I hear a child's heartfelt testimony. The feeling i get when hearing the stories of Jesus and the example He was. The feeling I get when I hear the sacrifices of Joseph Smith and the pioneers. I could never doubt when I feel all these things. I know Christ walked on this Earth. I have felt Him in my life. When I am lonely, I get down on my knees to pray. He listens. He answers. He loves me, mistakes and all. He loves us all. When I feel lonely, lost or depressed He comforts me. He is my best friend and it is for Him that I strive daily to do what is right. I want to live with Him again with my family. I know that through Temple covenants I can be with my family for all eternity. I love that aspect of the Gospel. I will do all I can to be worthy to live with them for eternity. Sometimes it seems like I have to do a lot. But really I do so little because I have been given so much. I am grateful to be a member of this Gospel. I know without a doubt that it is the truest Gospel on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I love going to church. I can feel the Spirit and grow closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I learn so much every week. I love to listen to what other people have to say. It amazes me how little I know sometimes. That is the beauty of going to church on a regular basis, you learn so much. It is always fun to be with people who share the same beliefs as me. I know that our wards are meant to lift us up. Heavenly Father loves us and has placed us with people to help us grow.
