Hi I'm J.D.

I am a 19 year old guy. I'm a Chemistry Education Major. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As I said I am 19 years old, and I am a chemistry education major. When I graduate I hope to teach high school level chemistry. I also enjoy photography, mostly nature/landscape photography. Living in Idaho I am surrounded by beautiful scenery. I love it here. However, I am currently far from home serving a 2 year mission in the Michigan Lansing Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is true. I had the wonderful opportunity to be born in to the gospel. There is no way I can deny it. My conversion has been a gradual one. I can't point to a specific moment when I said to my self " the church it true". It has come in small moments. Feelings that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God, and that he restored the true gospel, Christs Gospel, to the Earth. Conformation that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God, a book of scripture written for our day, translated by Joseph Smith. A personal witness through the Holy Ghost that President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God in our day, and that he leads this Church under the direction of Christ. This is why I'm a Mormon

How I live my faith

I strive everyday to follow the commandment that God has given to us his children, I know that in my life as I follow the commandments, that I have a better day. I try to look for the best in people, as Christ did during his mortal ministry. If I try to see people how Christ would, it makes it easier to be kind to everyone. Not to say it always works, I am an imperfect person. It does make it easier, and it give me a goal to live for.
