Hi I'm Richard

I grew up on Vancouver Island, Canada. I love sports, working and my family. I'm studying to be a mining engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved being outside. camping, sports, gardening, playing in the ocean, whatever gets me out there. I'm studying mining engineering. I started working at a young age and have always worked since. I love building things, and I guess that's why I've always been working in construction. I like being a goof and singing really loud.

Why I am a Mormon

Through my teenage years I did a lot of things that brought me pain. My parents had always brought me to church and taught me about Jesus and how to live a good life. One day I made the decision I didn't want to hurt inside anymore. I wanted to be happy all the time, not just sometimes, I wanted it to last. I started really reading the Book of Mormon and praying. One day I was praying and it seemed like a weight was lifted from my chest. I know that Jesus lives. I know that He can heal us. I'm so grateful for Him and for His sacrifice. He lived and died for everyone of us. If we follow His teachings we will find true joy. Joy that lasts. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Currently I am living what I believe by serving a mission for my church and for my God. I will do this for two years. I give service and try my best to be an example of Jesus Christ. I teach everyone who wants to learn more about how the Gospel of Jesus Christ can benefit themselves and their families.
