Hi I'm Kent

I'm an educator, instructional designer, tech guy, marathon runner, outdoor enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to teach and explore new frontiers. Whether it involves discovering a new hiking and running trail or experimenting with a new piece of technology, I love it! Teaching is always an adventure for me; trying to figure out the best way to reach my students and help them learn, grow, and progress.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have tried to live the gospel throughout my life, it has brought me great peace and happiness. In my youth, I lived them gospel and I saw the positive impact that it had on my life. As I have grown older, I have found thatthe gospel has accelerated my growth, knowledge, and achievements. I have learned from first hand experience the joy that comes into life as I look beyond myself and serve as Jesus taught. Many precious experiences have taught me the goodness and truth of Jesus Christ's gospel and His restored church. I have felt the influence of the Holy Ghost testifying that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer who has saved me, my family, and all those who will come unto him and partake of his grace. I have learned from the Holy Spirit that God continues to send prophets and apostles to guide and direct His children in the troublesome times in which we live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. Some days are better than others, but as I turn to the Lord and lean on His strength I grow day by day into the man that He wants me to become. I have found that the things that help me the most to live the gospel are the simple fundamentals such as prayer, scripture study, attending church, and christian service. Each of these things helps strengthen and guide me as I try to follow the Savior. My family is another incredible source of strength and guidance. They love me and encourage me to be the husband, father, and disciple that I should be. One of the things that I am most grateful for is all of the opportunities to serve that are provided by my faith. I currently work with the youth, teaching them basic life skills and the basics of the gospel. We explore potential careers, the outdoors, and most importantly the gospel of Jesus Christ. The young men and thwir examples to me are a great source of strength and have helped me grow closer to Jesus through service.
