Hi I'm Grant

I'm a nerd. I love Doctor Who, the BBC show Sherlock, Captain America, and other nerdy things. I also draw and write webcomics.

About Me

I'm in college studying to Business Management. I love the series Doctor Who (bow ties are cool). I love to read all sorts of books, some of my favorites being the Fablehaven series, Eragon, Percy Jackson, Lost Years of Merlin, and others. I work as a web developer at BYU. I speak Spanish (lived in Argentina for two years) although I've been out of practice for a bit. I also enjoy paintball, four-wheeling, I collect weapons and I play lots of board games (comes from having worked in a toy store). I also write and draw webcomics, and I make them in part because I feel that the world needs more clean humor.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. I see a lot of problems in the world that could be avoided if people were to live the Gospel. I love my family and how united we are through the teachings of Jesus Christ. I've read the Book of Mormon and through prayer I know that it is the word of God.

How I live my faith

More than anything I just try to be kind to others. I think the world is full of anger and I want to do my part to get rid of it. I came back just under a year ago from serving a full-time mission in Argentina. I also try to put more clean humor into the world through my webcomics, and I just try to make people happy whenever I can.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

You are never required to serve in any church calling. However, all of the young men are told that they should plan on and prepare to serve when they're 19 years old. If a young man chooses not to serve, he isn't denied any part of his church activity. I actually came home from my mission recently and I can honestly say it was the best possible thing I could have done during those two years of my life. It wasn't only good for those I was able to teach, but it helped me grow than anything I could have done at home. My brother is currently serving a mission now and I can tell that he's experiencing the same thing. I have absolutely no regrets about my decision to serve. Show more Show less
