Hi I'm Justin

I strive to become like Jesus Christ as I serve those around me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Moapa Valley my entire life. I was raised in a strong gospel home. I recently received a mission call to the Chili Santiago South Mission. I love writing, basketball, football, hiking, swimming, camping, and cooking. I love listening to music and watching movies and tv shows.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family strong in the church. I never had a problem believing that this church was true. Everything about it just made sense. I do not consider myself a Mormon because it sounds true though, but because I know it's true. I know of It's truthfulness the same way anyone can know it's true, because it was witnessed unto me by the Holy Ghost. As Moroni say's in the Book of Mormon: And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, The Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. When I prayed to know, the truth didn't come instantly and all at once, but over time. He spoke to my heart, giving me such a strong assurance that I cannot deny it. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church, and the only way to obtain everlasting happiness and peace. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of the world. I know that God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith telling him that there was no true church upon the earth, and he was to restore it for the last time. I know that the Book of Mormon is correct and a pure testament of Jesus Christ. I know that the Bible is correct when translated correctly. I know that I can live with God again with my family and friends. If you are reading why I am a Mormon, and haven't received the truth by the Holy Ghost I admonish you to follow Moroni's promise and pray for that special witness. As you follow the commandments blessings will flood your life as they have mine.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me hope. Despite my weaknesses I can change. I can leave my pride behind, realizing I can not do it alone, and allow the savior to come into my life. I pray that God will lead me and direct my paths. I repent of wrongs I have committed. I strive for the Holy Ghost to be a constant part of my life. I study the gospel given in the Book of Mormon, Bible, church history, words of prophets and apostles, and of church leaders. The best way I live my faith is by serving others. While Christ was on the earth he dedicated every minute to helping others. It is now my duty, as a Mormon and a holder of the priesthood, to help and bless others as he would have done. Being a member of this church means helping everyone no matter what they've done or who they are. As I strengthen others they strengthen my and we grow closer to the savior. Full potential is reached a bit at a time until all can live with God again, and even become a God. Soon I will enter the mission field to bring the joy of the gospel to the people of Chili.
