Hi I'm Galen Darke

I'm an Eagle Scout, a high school student. I love archery and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child with two older brothers and three younger sisters. I grew up in Utah, but my family never stopped moving around. I am a soccer player, and i have been playing since i was five. I also enjoy hiking, vollyball, tennis, football, running, drawing, and backpacking. I am currently being home schooled. I am an eagle scout. I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Brasilia Brazil mission, and am in the provo Missionary Training Center preparing for it.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me up in a mormon household so the church has always been a part of my life. That is how i entered the church, but the reasons i stay are far different. There came a time for me when i realized that i did not know for certain if the gospel was true or not. Up until then i had been relying on what my parents had told me was true. I still believed my parents but i wanted to know for myself if the things they told me where true. So after pondering on this thing for a while i decided to get down on my knees and pray to my heavenly father about if this church was true or not. No sooner had i started to ask him then i had a feeling of warmth and comfort come into me. I knew then that this gospel was true and i have not had even a thought about leaving ever since.

How I live my faith

There are many things that i do to try to live my faith each day. I have personal prayers to my father in heaven on a daily basis so i can always be grateful for the things that he does for me each day. I try to always be honest with my dealings with my friends and neighbors. I attend my weekly church meetings so that i may enjoy the gifts that heavenly father gives me. I have also decided to go on a mission so that i may tell others about the path to happiness.
