Hi I'm Kari

I love Jane Austen. I love and appreciate art from all eras. I thrive on doing things DIY. I am a new mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in Ventura County, CA I moved to Orange County to study Art History. I love art, there are so many perspectives and emotions that are all subjective to it's viewer. I am married to my best friend and we have a beautiful baby girl. I prefer to be reading "Pride and Prejudice" as often as possible. I love finding ways to do things I see in stores or catalogs DIY style. and I am currently obsessed with a certain shade of seafoam green.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know nothing else to be as true as this church. Born into a Mormon family, I have been attending church since infancy. But it wasn't until around the age of 18 that I truly became converted to the gospel for myself. I believe in Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made on the cross, and I especially am grateful for Him taking upon on the sins, grief, pain, frustration that I have ever experienced. Knowing this leaves me no excuse to not live my life to the fullest! He has taken those painful feelings that I might repent and not feel them anymore, what a wonderful gift.

How I live my faith

As a Mormon I teach the young ladies ages 14-16 in my area. They are a great group of girls and I am constantly being reminded how silly I was as a 14 year old! My perspective on life has changed and I am grateful for this reminder so that I may reflect and hopefully share some wisdom I've learned thus far in my life. I also enjoy participating in giving service when it is needed with other Mormon's in my area, whether it be bringing dinner to a mom of a brand new baby or visiting someone who just needs an ear to listen to them.
