Hi I'm Jeff

I grew up in Fresno. I'm a graduate student in a local university's MBA program. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my best friend in July 2011 and we are now expecting our first child in July. We couldn't be more excited to start our little family. I'm currently going to school to get an MBA and expect to graduate later this year. I love watching and playing sports. Basketball is probably my first love as I grew up playing it with my older brothers and continue to play recreationally today.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the greatest things about being a Mormon is the emphasis that is placed upon the family unit and the eternal nature of families in that families can be together forever. I grew up a Mormon and have stayed a Mormon because I believe in the principles that are taught in our church. By taking Moroni's challenge in The Book of Mormon to pray to know whether or not the book is true, I have received confirmation through the holy spirit that The Book of Mormon is true and is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

We are given ample opportunities to serve others. Since there are no paid clergy the church relies on its members to teach one another and serve one another. We do this through active participation in attending church and visiting other members to make sure that the needs (physical, emotional, and spiritual) of others are being met. One such opportunity I take advantage of often is to serve in what is called the Bishop's Storehouse. The storehouse provides food and necessary living supplies to those in need and relies on volunteers to fill the orders and stock the supplies needed. The work can be hard and tiresome but the feeling I get while serving others outweighs the physical exhaustion.
