Hi I'm Isaac

I'm a Californian, a Disneyland enthusiast, an awkwardly tall surfer,as well as an athlete. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the typical mormon boy we all think of. I'm from a large family and was raised in the church. I have 3 brothers, a brother-in-law, 2 sisters, a niece and a nephew, and a mom and a dad. I love them a lot. They have all been with me every step of the way and support me in everything I do. Other than being a typical mormon, I'm very different than most people. I'm very tall, 6 ft 11 in to be exact. Door ways, chandeliers, low ceilings, shower heads, and small cars tend to be my enemy day in and day out. I love to play any sports but mainly basketball and volleyball. With hard work, devotion, and by the grace of God, I have been blessed with a basketball scholarship to play at a D1 College. I am a huge believer in laughing and smiling. If your not happy and enjoying life, your doing something wrong. The Gospel radiates through happy people, therefore I choose to be happy. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I didn't really have a true testimony of the gospel until the Summer of 2011. I always wanted to believe that it was true but never had that powerful conviction that it was. But now, I can honestly say with all my heart that I know that this church is true. I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and have witnessed the power that comes from it. I've experienced miracles far beyond my own comprehension. Alone, the Book of Mormon has made an impact on all kinds of different people. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that Joseph Smith Jr. is a prophet of God because of the Book of Mormon. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith received the same authority, the Priesthood Authority, to act in God's name as Christ had done when he was laboring here on earth. I know that modern day prophets are in our time with that Priesthood authority. President Thomas S. Monson is the prophet on earth today and he does receive revelation from God. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's Kingdom once again established on the earth today. If you have any question about this gospel, I invite you to read the Book of Mormon and then pray sincerely with pure intent. I know that if you do this, you will know for yourself that it is true. When you come to know this, change your life and let the blessings of your Father in Heaven come.

How I live my faith

I follow in my Savior, Jesus Christ's footsteps. I work daily on being more Christlike in my life. I know that by doing so and applying his teachings in my life, I can be more open to the Holy Spirit and can find an even closer relationship with Christ as well with my Father in Heaven.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Isaac
Absolutely! The Gospel of Jesus Christ has always had prophets. I feel truly blessed to have the knowledge of knowing that Heavenly Father has given us a true and living prophet in our time. Without prophets (especially in our day) we wouldn't be able to know basic correct principles like Heavenly Fathers plan for us. The greatest part is that you don't even need to take my word for it. It's truly simple to know for yourself. All you need to do is read the Book of Mormon and ask Heavenly Father if it's true! I promise that if you sincerely try this experiment out, Heavenly Father is going to answer your prayer and tell you through the Holy Spirit that it is true. So what are you waiting for? What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Isaac
Attending church can be compared to going to a hospital. No one there is perfect; we all have different kinds of flaws. Therefore, we go to church to feel the Spirit heal us from our imperfections. Sometimes we may even need to have surgery with the local Bishop or Branch President. We go there to learn ways to strengthen and prepare ourselves for a new week. Attending the Temple is like walking down the Beach on a warm sunny day. You feel as if your walking in the soft sand with your best friend. It's very peaceful and beautiful. It's a home away from home. It's where true Happiness can be found. Show more Show less
