Hi I'm Sani!

From Orem, Utah. I rock at Halo. Missionary in the ALABAMA BIRMINGHAM MISSION AND I'M A MORMON!

About Me

I'm 19, I love watching movies, playing video games especially a good match on Halo :D, listen to my jams, I'm number 8 of 9 kids, I play the violin, ukulele, I try to play the piano, and I love making new friends!! Right now I'm in Mississippi! Growing up in Utah in a wonderful family has blessed me tremendously and I'm so grateful for the examples that my parents set for me. Being away from my family has been a little challenging at times but when I remember all the good times of home I always remember the wonderful hours I spent with ALL of my extended family! I think those memories and the hopes of having a loving family in the future are what bring me peace and help me to remember that I need to work hard and move on in life so that I can increase my happiness that I have now. I'm so happy to be part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because families are a central focus in the purpose of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because, let's be honest, I was raised Mormon BUT I knew that at some point in time I needed to gain my very own testimony of Jesus Christ, and the Book of Mormon. Now that I do have one I now know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is that same true church that Jesus Christ set up when He walked the earth and that it is again restored to the earth today! Now I'm glad I'm Mormon! :D

How I live my faith

Well there are many ways how I live my faith! Everyday I read my scriptures because I feel happy when I do and I can't live without doing THAT. It's like breathing without AIR! I absolutely NEED to pray to my Father in Heaven everyday. During my prayers I can know what Heavenly Father wants me to do if I pay close attention and take some time to listen through the spirit. I attend church every sunday because there are others who are striving their best to live the gospel and I can relate to and learn from them! So in other words, I pray, read my scriptures, and go to church! Though living my faith may be as simple as that it brings MAJOR results to my happiness! :D

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

NOPE. We worship God the Father and Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was a true prophet and just like Moses, Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob, we remember his teachings and remember him for who he was. The divine Priesthood authority of God, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the true church of Jesus Christ was restored through Joseph Smith. That is why he is spoken so highly of and respected. Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Ancient prophets during the time of 600 B.C to about 400 A.D. here in the Americas! Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

Obviously we should have faith in Jesus Christ, and with that faith comes action! I could totally have faith in my car that it'll turn on when I turn the ignition. I don't see it happening yet but I know for sure it'll turn on when I turn the ignition. Now if I just SIT there and not DO anything, then it's not gonna happen! Therefore I need to take action and do something about it. If we have faith in Jesus Christ and do all that He asks of us to do, He'll never fail to bless us in times of need! A car will one day break down but Jesus Christ will never break down on us. Show more Show less

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

They are directly related to each other. As we stay modest we stay chaste. Our Heavenly Father would never want us to treat our bodies in such a way that is against His will. Parents can teach their children simply by living according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and they're there to provide good role models for them. Show more Show less

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

It is because the Lord commands it and it is an act of faith. When obeyed and followed it brings much happiness knowing that the Lord will bless you and others in many and unique ways. Just think about it, He has given everything to you and just asks for 10% back, whereas you can keep the other 90%... Isn't that a sweet deal!? Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace is the blessing of receiving help or STRENGTH from the Lord after making all the efforts to live the Gospel. When I try to keep the commandments to the best of my ability and then finally recognize that I need help, THEN will the Lord bless me with His grace. We would never be able to do what it is we desire to do if it weren't for the Lord's grace, and in the end it is by His grace that we are all truly saved! :^D Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Well lets see, after I graduated high school I got a job in construction in the summer so that I could save up some money for my mission and then I left towards the beginning of winter so... pretty much all the activities done by Mormon missionaries throughout the world are funded by themselves! What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Marriage between man and woman is ordained of God as stated by twelve modern day Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in "The Family: A Proclamation to the World." Everyone on earth are children of God and that some have feelings towards one another of the same gender. Such feelings can be fixed with the principles of the Gospel, it's that simple. These behaviors were taught throughout the Holy Bible to be sinful and against God's Law. Paul taught about this behavior in Romans 1: 24-32. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

The Holy Bible testifies of Jesus Christ and His power among His prophets and apostles. The sacred texts were written from these holy men because they were commanded by God to do so. What is the First Vision?

Joseph Smith lived during the 1800's in New York. His family was surrounded by various churches and he began to be confused on why there were so many churches and wanted to ask God about which one to join. One morning he prayed about it and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him that he should join none of them. Through this sacred experience and through the next couple of years he learned that Jesus Christ's church was no longer on the earth and that through him it would be restored. People believe that no man can see God but in this case it is not an argument of whether or not Joseph Smith could see God, but it is whether or not God even has the power to allow one puny human being to be in His presence that He may answer their soul searching question :D Show more Show less
