Hi I'm Kate

I am a wife. A mother of twins. A blogger. A super shopper. A photographer. A baker. A believer of world peace. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was married to my husband after dating him twice. The first time we dated was very brief and it was right before he left for a mission for the Church. The second time was after he returned and we were married just 9 months later. About 7 months in we found out we were expecting a baby. Little to our knowledge this "baby" was actually babies!!! So I am the mother of two beautiful little girls. Right now in my life I spend a lot of time being Mom. Some days are long and others are short but I love and cherish every little moment I get to spend with my girls. They are truly the light of my life! I love to shop for great deals and find things that just need a little pick me up and maybe some spray paint. I am a modern day tree hugger, I love to learn about natural ways to keep my family healthy. I even made my own baby food and use lots of essential oils for healing. I am just an ordinary girl, who is in denial about her age, loves to laugh, and still thinks she can save the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because......... Well this is a hard question for someone who was raised in the church. It is what I have always known but there comes a time in every member life where they must decide weather or not they truly believe. This moment, for me, came in my sophomore year of high school while studying the Old Testament. Then again my senior year when I first got down on my knees to pray about the Book of Mormon. For me, there has never been any denying that my Savior Jesus Christ lived and died for me. It makes perfect sense to me. I have always felt the same way about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it makes perfect sense. I have gone through my highs and lows but I know with a surety that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet and translated the Book of Mormon in our days. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet today and he does receive inspiration. I have a true testimony of the power of prayer and it's power and strength in our lives. I know that there is life after death and that we were sent here to return to Our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything I do. I am not perfect by any means but it helps to be aware that only I am accountable for my actions. I also love to sing, especially to my girls. It is amazing the power of hymn in our lives!!!
