Hi I'm Lisa Page.

I'm a mom of 5, I love being creative, taking care of people and spontaneous getaways with my husband, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the church, but in a low LDS populated area. I kinda love that fact. I never looked at it as tough or hard, I look it as an oportunity to stand out. Its funny but my kids are now the very same way. They love the fact that they are different, and that others expect things from them as far as their beliefs. There are always ways that we can share our faith, and be an example. I love meeting people and getting to know them, I have friends all over. I love doing things with my family, time together is always valued. I love to laugh, be spontaneous, and do secret acts of service, it makes me smile. I love to learn, but I have to admit the thought of going back to school scares me to death. Maybe some day. I would love to travel, and see different places around the world with my husband, who is my best friend. Living the gospel just simply makes me happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Like I said I grew up in the church. My parents joined the church before I was born. It was a very brave step for my mother, her family was not happy about it. I always appreciated their courage to take that step so that I could have such a wonderful blessing in my life. I had the opportunity to participate in all the church has to offer, primary, Young women's and Relief Society. it has enriched my life to learn, and serve others. I know without the Gospel I would be a very different person, good but not as blessed. I am so grateful to be a member to have the Priesthood bless my life and my childrens lives. I am so grateful to have a living prophet to guide us as to what our Heavenly Father wants and needs us to do to return to him. This world is so changing, so it is perfect to know that my Savior Jesus Christ is unchanging and that through him I can become so much more with Him than I can by myself.

How I live my faith

I have five children and over the years I spent MANY hours in their schools volunteering, and getting to know their teachers and peers. I love being with my childrens friends. Our home is their home. I love making visits to a local assisted living facility. I gained that love from my father as a child. Elderly have so much to offer. I have served in many organizations in the church, as a teacher where I am presently serving with the Sunbeams(4 year olds) What a joy they are. And also as a counseler in the Presidency. I have served in a our women's organization Presidency, but have spent most of my years with the youth of the church in Young Women's. I love young people. It was always fun to be where my children were and are. Surprisingly they loved having both of us hang out with them at the youth activities. I love serving and getting to know the sisters in the church thru visiting teaching. I go whereever i am asked to serve. I just look at it as a learning experience and an opportunity to grow.
