Hi I'm Brooklyn Jolley

I'm a newlywedded hairstylist, a Disney lover, a blogger, a reader, lover of all things pink and sparkly, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a hairstylist. I met my husband in March 2013 and we were engaged 8 weeks later. Some call it crazy, we call it love at first sight! I can often be found spreading my thoughts throughout the internet whether it's Facebook, Twitter, Blogging or Instagram, I'm everywhere! I love reading self help books and setting goals. I prefer skirts over pants any day, I drive like a grandma and I almost always sneeze 3 times. I'm just living and loving my way through life to the tune of a Disney song.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and have always loved the feeling I got when I participated in church activities. My mom was a convert and was baptized by my dad. They were married in the Ogden temple after which they started a family of 5 children. I t wasn't until I was 14 until I KNEW that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ was truly here on the earth. The Young Women's Personal Progress helped me to gain a testimony of all the things I had been wondering about. It taught me about prayer, scripture study, serving others and more. I am a Mormon because I know it's true. I know it's true because I have lived its teachings and prayed for confirmation of it's truthfulness. I have been given a very strong confirmation that it is true and vowed to never live my life any other way. When I am struggling, the Church helps me keep an eternal focus. And when life is going great, I have even more reason to celebrate.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the way I spend my time. I read from the scriptures with my husband every evening and we also pray together. We attend church every Sunday and enjoy partaking of the sacrament and starting our new week off worshiping God. We attend the temple every month, and look for opportunities to serve. I live my faith by accepting the Lord's will and looking for the positive in every situation. I live my faith by blogging and sharing with others what I believe.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Brooklyn Jolley
Many people in this world hope that family relationships will last forever. I know I sure do, I can't imagine heaven without my husband and family. One of the greatest blessings of the restorations of Christ's Church is that we know HOW those relationships can last forever. Sacred ordinances performed in God's holy temples make these relationships eternal. Christ gave power to His disciples that allowed them to seal families together forever. That same sealing power has been restored in our day. Kneeling across an altar in the temple, husband and wives along with their children can be given the wonderful promise of forever.
