Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a wife and a mother. I love cooking, blogging, dancing, music, and laughing, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a college graduate and have a full time job as a stay-at-home mama to two beautiful baby girls. I am happy! Heavenly Father wants us all to be happy! That's His plan for us. I love learning, laughing, cooking, singing, dancing, blogging, my husband, and my girls.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is the Church of Jesus Christ, fully restored. He is the Head of our church and his gospel is a message of love and service. He set the perfect example for us and how we should live our lives. Because He loves us, He atoned for us, making it possible to be forgiven of sin, to be strengthened in times when we feel weak or incapable of going through hard things alone, and to be with our families forever because He conquered death. I'm a Mormon because I know Christ lives, and He loves me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making God a priority in my life. Even though I don't have a set responsibility at church, I love going to the temple, feeding the missionaries, and volunteering to help with any service project that comes up. I enjoy listening to General Conference talks and keeping a prayer in my heart all day long. I love to read scripture stories to my children before bedtime and watch Church films on Sundays.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

The temple isn't secret, it's sacred. If you have been baptized into the LDS church and have been approved by your bishop to enter the temple, you can make covenants, or sacred promises, with the Lord and perform work for those who have passed on and did not have a chance to receive the gospel in this life. Most temples have visitors centers that anyone can visit, and when a temple is being opened, they have Temple Open Houses where members of the public can walk through the temple. Show more Show less
