Hi I'm Jill

I'm a wife, mother, nurse, author, musician, outdoor enthusiast, blogger. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to a wonderful husband and a mother to two precious little girls. I am also a labor and delivery nurse and an author of a children's book. I have always dreamed of being a wife and mother. Being a mother is the greatest blessing in my life. I enjoy running, and have completed 2 marathons. love the outdoors especially hiking, camping, and backpacking. As a pianist and organist, I love sharing music with my family and serving others through music. I'm a history buff, I love to read good books, watch soccer, and most of all I love spending time with my family. While my husband and I have been extremely blessed, we have experienced trials and hardships as well. It is during these difficult times that I have come closer to my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. We struggled with infertility for a long time to get our first daughter to join our family, and then again for our second daughter. This is something that was personally very hard for me and tried my faith many times. But through much faith and prayer, I learned that our Heavenly Father knows each and every one of us and loves us and knows the desires of our hearts. He ultimately blessed us with our two beautiful daughters and I have come to appreciate motherhood that much more. While we know not what trials lay ahead of us, we are confident that God is watching over us and will help us along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life. From an early age I was taught the true principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My life has been built on the foundation of Jesus Christ and His teachings. I love my Savior.

How I live my faith

My family and I attend church each Sunday. We serve in our ward in many capacities. As a musician, I serve by playing the piano and organ, and accompanying our ward choir. I have also served for a long time in the Primary, our church organization for children. I love teaching little children about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I also serve the youth, specifically young women ages 12-18, planning meaningful and spiritual activities with them, and trying to be a positive influence in their lives.
