Hi I'm Chrissy
I'm a wife and mother. I spend my days making memories with my amazing family and friends. I'm a lucky girl and I'm a Mormon.
I was born and raised in sunny California. I consider myself a devout wife and mother as well as a devout California girl! I like to have crazy singing & dancing parties with my fun and wild kids. I'm a girl on a budget, so I am always gathering inspiration for DIY projects and having craft nights with my very talented and crafty friends. I love to read. I love Angels baseball! I love to try new and interesting foods. I love to travel and even love jumping in the car with my family and going for a quick road trip. I love modern technology and the opportunity it gives me to document my life and my growing family so easily! Life is sweet.
I grew up a member of the Church. When I was 15 years old, I had a very dear friend suddenly pass away in a car accident. This was the first time in my life that I had to experience such a tragedy. I was a good kid, but didn't have much of a testimony of my own yet. The sudden death of my friend caused me and my other friends a lot of pain and heartache and confusion. I remember having conversations about what happens to us when we die and if we really believe she is in a better place now. I knew I needed help dealing with my pain and questions I was having of the purpose of life. The Plan of Salvation was the first principle of the Gospel that I gained a testimony of. I turned to the church for my comfort. Since then, there have been other trials and they are never easy, but since that time, I feel I am better prepared with the perspective I now have of this life and the next. It gives me great comfort to know that when I walk out my door with my kids everyday what I see in front of me isn't all that's there. I'm thankful for the knowledge I have of His Plan to get me through this life.
I have enjoyed my calling the past few years in our church Public Affairs. We have had the opportunity to serve our community, meet people from other Faiths and encourage the church’s growth and awareness in our community. I’ve learned a lot about how the Church handles media attention and how we are supposed to handle it on the local level. I try to stand out in a positive way in my community as a member of the Church and strive to positively correct misconceptions and negative perceptions that some may have of the Church and our members. I try to be a good mother to my kids and maintain a loving and spiritual environment for them in our home. I hope to teach them the Gospel the best that I can to better prepare them for the hardships of this life, just as it has been a guiding light in my life.
