Hi I'm Makenzie

I'm a wife and mother, a college student, and I'm a mormon!

About Me

My husband and I got married in 2012, and we welcomed our daughter into the world a year later. We are expecting our second child in January 2015. I love being outdoors; camping, going for walks, riding bikes, stargazing, rock climbing, and repelling. Photography and digital editing are great passions of mine. I love taking pictures of people, animals, nature, and anything that looks cool through my camera lens. I'm currently working towards my Bachelors in Graphic Design.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many, I was born into the church. My dad is the first one in his family to become a member. My mom was born into the church, but her parents were not. They first took the discussions after my aunt was born. I was baptized two days after my eighth birthday. My dad baptized me, and also confirmed me. This church is truly the best thing that I have in my life. It helps me on a day to day basis. Being a Mormon isn't just living up to the name, it's a way of life. I absolutely love the way I feel when I go to church and when I do what I'm supposed to be doing. I love knowing that I am a daughter of a very loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I embrace the standards that we have and apply them in my life. I help others in my church and try to be the best example that I can, by living the standards of the church. Serving others is a big part of my religion, and I love doing it.
