Hi I'm Jordan
I'm a missionary. I'm a singer-songwriter. I'm a classical voice major. I'm a Mormon.
I love music. I'm currently enrolled at BYU as a classical voice major, and I also like to write songs and play guitar. I was in BYU Concert Choir, and I've been in and out of choirs since I was in 3rd grade. My goal is to perform as an opera singer and one day teach as a vocal professor. I also like playing basketball with friends and going to the beach.
My family has very strong roots in the Church. Both my parents and all of my grandparents have been brought up in Mormon families. However, that doesn't mean I didn't have to do any soul searching to find my own testimony! Even with that solid background, I knew I had to find out for myself if this was true. Of course, it would be difficult to find out this wasn't true with all of my family being members of the church. Regardless, I was determined to find out for myself! It took a lot of fasting and prayer on my part, but I can now say with all surety that God lives, that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. This testimony means the world to me. There was a time in my life of doubt and darkness, where I didn't know where to turn for truth. After pouring out my soul to God, I know He is there. From that experience, I know how to seek answers from the source of all truth. I know that God answers prayers, and will direct our lives as we turn to Him. I know that the Holy Ghost will bear witness of truth to all that diligently seek Him! Ever since I received that witness, I have been determined to grow in the gospel and share the light I have received with others. I'm serving a mission for two years of my life because I want others to experience the joy that I feel. I hope to be an instrument to help people recognize the very real connection they can have with God, and the healing power of Christ's atonement.
