Hi I'm Steph

I grew up in Idaho. I love playing basketball, studying history, and I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University, studying history. I love learning about people- their background, culture, and life-style. I believe we can learn many important things from the past that can help improve our present and our future. I believe every person is important, and that we have a lot to learn from each other! I love hanging out with my husband- going to movies, playing sports, hiking, reading, and eating delicious food.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I always had a great sense of who I was and who my Father in Heaven wanted me to be. I made choices that I thought would bring me closer to Him, and found great peace and happiness from so doing. I have had many family members and friends who chose otherwise, and I have seen how that has limited their perspective and stunted their growth as a child of God. I love the standards and morals that the gospel has helped me live. I know that this gospel is the way and means to becoming who our Heavenly Father wants us to become. I know God lives and that He loves each of His children. I know He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins and help us reach our full potential. Through His loving mercy, we can repent, align our will to God's will, and change. This brings great hope and peace in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying the words of past and present prophets, and applying what I learn. I try my best to study the life of the Savior and develop His characteristics and attributes. I believe that the best way we can follow Jesus Christ is by being kind and charitable to our fellow-man.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes. I believe that God is unchanging. He loves us and wants us to return to live with Him. Because He loves us, he has sent prophets to lead and guide us. Like the prophets in the Bible, we have a living prophet on the earth today- Thomas S. Monson. Through His living prophet, God speaks to His children. We can find peace and direction as we follow past and living prophets of God. Show more Show less
