Hi I'm Tommy

I grew up in Washington. I have done some College but I am currently on my mission and I'm serving in Charlotte NC. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love movies! 'Inception' is hands down my favorite movie. I am a die-hard Seattle Seahawks fan and have been since I can remember. I am a very sociable, out-going person. I tend to be what you would call a 'chatty Cathy'. I like to have fun and crack jokes, probably more than I should. I love music. I dont know who my favorite band is but I'd have to say that perhaps the best band of all time is RUSH. I love going to concerts and to sporting events. I guess I just love being out doing stuff that will allow me to look back one day and say "oh yeah, I remember that. What a good time that was!"

Why I am a Mormon

Well I haven't been what you would call a perfect Mormon during my life. There have been times when I just didn't want to go to church at all and I had to get dragged to church by my mom (figuratively speaking)! I've always known the gospel is true but I wanted to find out if it was right for me in a personal way and if being a member of the church was something that I should be doing with my life. A big change in my personal testimony was when I was able to baptize one of my best friends! After I baptized him I was able to see how much his life changed for the better and how much the Lord was able to bless his life because of his choice to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That made me want to follow my faith more than I had up to that point and it is a big reason why I am out serving in the Charlotte NC Mission. I am excited and happy to see the gospel bless other's lives like it has my friend's life!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving my best to do what the Lord asks of me. No one is perfect by any means, but thanks to the atonement of our Savior we have the opportunity to repent of our sins and see our Heavenly Father again one day! I hope choosing to serve a mission in North Carolina and doing my best to give others the opportunity to seek the same peace and forgiveness in their lives that I am privileged to receive as I repent and try harder to keep the Lord's commandments, is a way to show that I am truly grateful for my membership in the Lord's Kingom and Church.
