Hi I'm Nicholas

I've had some ups and downs in life, but at the age of 25 i decided to serve a mission. I love helping people, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 26, I grew up in the Church, and I'm the oldest of 11 children, I love them all. I grew up in an active Latter-Day Saint family and community in Southern Utah. I like video games, cars, firearms, studying history and the scriptures, music of all forms, and serving people. I'm served a full time mission in the Oklahoma, Oklahoma City mission, being a missionary is a great experience. When I return I hope to continue my schooling and become a CES instructor or history teacher, and of course start a family of my own. I've had some crazy ups and downs in life, but through the Saviors atonement and Gospel, I've become a better person and I want to help others come unto that truth. I love to share my testimony with others, and to hear theirs as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but in my teens and twenties I fell away, many life events since then have brought me closer to my family, and in turn back into the Church. I feel a peace and joy and love that I never found when I was inactive, the empty hole that I had was filled with love and kindness of the Saviors atonement, and the knowledge that we have a prophet on the earth today that gives direction directly from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Most importantly because I have read and prayed to know of the truthfulness of the restored gospel, and I got an answer for myself, my own testimony, nobody can take that away from me.

How I live my faith

I served a full time mission. It was kind of odd being 26 and serving with all these 19-20 year olds, but I learned from them, and they learn from me. I really love helping others come unto Christ, by being and example and showing them the ways they can make changes in their lives. I rely on my Father in Heaven to get me through the tough times. I build others up and share my testimony and knowledge with people every day. I read the scriptures and pray every day, it really does make a difference, I can tell the days when I do are a lot better than the ones when I forget. I live my life day by day, learning and growing in knowledge and obedience and faith, receiving line upon line, and precept on precept. Seeking inspiration and revelation through prayer and scripture study has helped me. I try to do as Jesus Christ says, and go about doing good, loving everyone and being repentant and forgiving. All the struggles I have had in my life have served to strengthen me and bring me closer to my Savior.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Nicholas
My family is important to me because I know we can be together not only in this life, but after we die as well. They love me and I love them, families are ordained of God, He commanded that we raise children in righteousness and honor our parents. I hope to one day have my own family, to be married in a temple of God to a wife that will love the Lord so together as a team we may raise our children correctly and teach them the commandments of our Heavenly Father.
