Hi I'm Kelsea

I grew up in Hawaii. I'm a surfer, a sister, a student and a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a Mormon household. I also grew up near the beach and was an avid surfer. I am a college student. I began writing at a young age and now it is a big part of who I am. I have been called to serve in the Tacoma Washington mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was always blessed to be surrounded by my church community since I grew up in a small town. This made living a good life very easy in many cases. However, I had struggles that made me question this faith and the existence of a Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. It took me many years before I could kneel down and pray for strength because of my pride. The moment I poured my heart out truly, and asked for forgiveness and strength I was comforted and I felt instant strength. I began to build my life around my Savior, and my fears and disappointments vanished. Through scripture study and devote prayer I found comfort and love. Life became so much easier to deal with when I had the Lord to turn to. I am grateful each day for the chance I have been given to make amends and live a life of happiness instead of bitterness. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is full of men and women who live and love the same way I do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others, most of the time in small ways. Service is one way that I can feel my Savior's love. Scripture study and prayer are the key to my happiness. I desire each day to be a good person, and when I work hard this desire is filled. Some of the most wonderful and joyful people I have met are my church leaders and fellow church members.
