Hi I'm Paxton Lockhart

I am a Mormon and I live in Southern California.

About Me

I am a retired aerospace engineer. In worked on the factory test of the third stage of the Saturn moon rocket and worked as a member of the launch team for a period of time. I also worked on the factory test and launch of the Delta rocket. Delta rockets are used for launch of various satellites including the GPS navigation satellite system. I have been retired since 1997. My wife and I have served church missions in Singapore and in the Salt Lake City Family History Library. I have a G-scale garden railroad in my back yard which makes me something of a hero to my 5 year old next door neighbor. I enjoy decorating my layout for Halloween and for Christmas. My train hauls candy for my young visitors on those holidays. I serve as a librarian at our local family history center.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon primarily because of the Book of Mormon. I strongly believe that anyone who prayerfully reads the Book of Mormon will know that it is divine origin. I particularly love the chiasms (a poetic device) found in abundance in the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have served in many church callings. I presently serve as an instructor for my group of men in our congregation. I also serve as a worker in the Newport Beach Temple and as a Librarian at the Mission Viejo Family History Center
