Hi I'm Sessilia

I love children, am working on owning my own preschool, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I come from a family of five and I am the middle child. I am a student at Brigham Young University Idaho. I am studying Child Development & Family Studies. I hope to one day have my own preschool. I absolutely love children and I strongly believe that they are one of the greatest gifts from our Heavenly Father that can help us achieve true happiness in this life. I love music and getting my hands on any musical instrument that I can. I love tennis and aspire to be as amazing as Maria Sharapova someday. Also, someday I hope to raise my very own family and enjoy the marvelous fruits of this amazing Gospel! I am an advocate and defender of The Family.

Why I am a Mormon

I like to think of this question as, "Why do I choose to continue to be Mormon?" I was blessed with the privilege and opportunity to serve a mission in New York. It wasn't until I started the application process that I ever really pondered on this question. Throughout my service as a missionary, this was a frequently asked question by New Yorkers. My response is this: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only church wherein that I have found true and genuine happiness that I know will last for eternity, not just in this mortal existence. There is a sweet peace and joy that comes from honestly and sincerely inquiring of God and His plan for mankind then, receiving an answer through guidance of the Holy Spirit. There is reassurance and surety, promised blessings, and direction in life that all comes from having a knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and being obedient to God's laws and commandments. I have drawn and become closer to my Father in Heaven because of this Gospel and what the Church teaches its members through modern-day prophets and apostles, who each receive revelation from God to lead and guide His Church. I have come to witness firsthand the blessings and changes in people's lives as they accept this Gospel and embrace the teachings of Christ. I stand in wonder, awe, and amazement as I witness what Christ and His atoning sacrifice can do, not only in the lives of others, but in my own life as well. I find complete joy and gratification in being a member of Christ's restored church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I believe that each one of us have the privilege of sharing our testimonies with those around us, and if it is necessary, we should use words. With that being said, I truly believe that leading by example is the best way of teaching and living anything that we believe or want to share with those around us. Christ was and is the Exemplar of leading by example; He has shown us the way and has invited us to follow. I strive to do my best at being the best person I can be. I believe that how we act (both in public and in private), how we treat others, the things we say and think, all are direct representations of who we are and who we are striving to become. I believe that if I want or expect others to be a certain kind of person or to achieve a certain goal, I must be doing and becoming those things myself.
