Hi I'm Ray

I love books, rugby and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful, talented wife and four wonderful children. My wife and I met and graduated from BYU and then I went to law school at Rutgers University in New Jersey. I played rugby in college and continued to play after. I enjoy reading good books, adventuresome activities and eating good food. I have participated in several triathlons and adventure races and love the thrill and fun of it! My motto is: If there is no food, and no fun, then why do it?

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a witness from my Heavenly Father that His true gospel and doctrine is contained in this Church. As a youth, I decided to seek God's truth and to know for myself what God wanted me to do. So, as with any decision we make, I studied the gospel of Jesus Christ, and then asked God what I should do. As an answer to my prayers, my Heavenly Father confirmed to me that His love and His gospel is here upon the earth in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So with that answer and witness from God, I embraced and incorporated His Church into my life forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith like I live my life: Full of fun and full of love. There is no reason in the world why each day of my life cannot be filled with the Spirit of God and with fun and laughter all at the same time. God IS love and the purpose of His Son Jesus Christ is for us to have joy. So I try to enjoy every day of my life and fill it with love for God and for those around me. I am involved in a variety of community activities and forums in my life. I participate in several legal organizations which further the needs of the community and provide pro bono legal support to those who need it. I also have served as a local elected official and continue to be active in political and social interests throughout the neighborhood. I love to serve and participate with the youth and have always volunteered at every chance I get to help and have fun. Serving others is God's way for us to show our love for Him and our friends and neighbors.
