Hi I'm Bethany

I dig geology, Nordic skiing, and enjoy the occasional doughnut. And I'm a child of God.

About Me

I love my family. I am #9 out of 10 children and the experience is great! Being in a large family, we have a variety of occupations and activities, and my addition to the family is geology and Nordic skiing. You could say I thrive in the cold. Coming from northern Minnesota, it could be a just statement! Every season brings a new grand adventure. I've had the wonderful opportunity to serve a mission in Irvine, California, an experience I wouldn't trade for the world! Now, facing the challenges of what's ahead, faith in Jesus Christ is as important as ever.

Why I am a Mormon

Following and living the gospel makes me want to become a better person, and I have been blessed by it. As a child, I was taught to be obedient; obedient to parents, seniors, older siblings, teachers, church leaders, and especially God. Having faith and trust in Him makes trials and understanding why being obedient is important go much more smoothly than if I had blind faith. This gospel makes me happy and I have a testimony of the truthfulness of it. Everything shows that a divine creator exists. Miracles occur that cannot be fathomed, nor recognized at that moment. Sometimes I do not understand the will of God -does anyone? But I know He loves me and I am an important part in His eternal plan. I cannot give up on God, because He has never given up and will never give up on me.

How I live my faith

Being an example is definitely key; anyone could be watching. Also, making a pattern in my life definitely helps to find time for homework, personal time, and attending meetings and other functions of interest.
