Hi I'm Matt

I'm from Texas born and raised. I'm a dad. I'm in a rock band. I'm a podiatrist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a resident doctor in Texas. It has been a long road up to this point. I enjoy music of all kinds, and I love songwriting. I'm in a rock band at the moment and it is a blast. Between all this, I am married with 3 kids. I love them dearly! I guess that's why I work so hard for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that Jesus lives and is my Savior. He is the head of this church. He has given us prophets that lead His church today. The Bible is scripture that testifies of Him. The Book of Mormon also testifies of Jesus Christ and His divinity. Knowing these truths, I feel a responsibility to share it with those around me, including my family. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps my family and I reach the goal of eternal life together. Being a Mormon helps me be a better Christian, a better father, a better co-worker, and a better person in general.

How I live my faith

Church is an active part of my life. Beyond the regular Sunday meetings, living life as a Mormon is an everyday commitment and influences the choices I make. At church, I work as a leader among the men's group. I'm not paid for this job, but perhaps paid in blessings. I am also assigned several families that I visit each month. These times are especially rewarding because it helps build a spirit of fellowship with those who I go to church with. As a result, our congregation is one big family.
