Hi I'm Haley

I love the beach, movies, traveling, and all things girly. I'm a wife to my high school sweetheart and best friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love trying new things, cooking, crafting, decorating, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. I am a student at Brigham Young University, graduating in December in Communications Disorders. I met my husband in high school and waited for him to return from his two year LDS mission to Houston, TX where he taught the Gospel to Spanish-speaking people. We were married in May in the LDS Draper Utah temple. He is a student at Utah Valley University and we are living in Utah in a cute little apartment. We love eating good food, watching good movies, and laughing together.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both converts to the Church and they raised me and my brothers and sisters according to the teachings of our Church. Although I was raised attending church each week, praying, and reading the scriptures, it was not until I decided to read the Book of Mormon on my own that I gained a testimony of my own. I prayed to know if it was true and I felt an indescribable feeling and I knew and have known ever since that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith indeed saw God the Father and HIs Son, Jesus Christ. I have witnessed the peace and happiness that come from following the teachings of Jesus Christ and from being a member of His Church. The Church teaches me how to follow Christ and to be a better person. It teaches me the plan that leads to eternal and lasting happiness. It teaches me that I am loved by a Father in Heaven who knows me and wants me to succeed. It teaches me that I can do all things through my Savior, Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ offers me peace, protection, hope, healing, happiness, and a purpose.

How I live my faith

My husband and I serve in our ward congregation as Sunday School teachers for youth ages 6-7. We teach them about Jesus Christ, His life and ministry, and how to be like Him. I live my faith each day by studying the scriptures, pondering, and praying to draw closer to Jesus Christ. My husband and I read the scriptures and pray together each night. I try to live in such a way that will invite the Holy Ghost to dwell in my home by avoiding unclean music and movies. I live my faith by trying to be the best daughter, sister, wife, and friend that I can be. I try to choose the right and to develop Christ-like qualities. I pray that as I rely on my Savior that He will lead my life in the direction He wants me to go and help me to become who He wants me to become.
