Hi I'm Kaylyn Decker

I'm a senior in high school. I'm an aspiring artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In my church life I'm Laurel's class president and almost done with Personal Progress. The other half I'm a senior with way too much going on. I'm in FCCLA, art club and I'm an advanced placement student. I plan on going to college next year. I'm a southern belle, so I live in the mission field. With the help of God and Christ I'm able to mesh these two halves together into a more-often-than-not harmonizing life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have always been a member. Slowly but surely I'm gaining my own testimony of each gospel principle and so many other points of the church. I know for a fact that Christ is the savior or mankind, and without Him...well, I honestly don't think I would be getting anywhere in life. I also know that Joseph Smith was the prophet of the Restoration and Thomas S. Monson leads our church today. I have a strong testimony of the power or missionary work. My parents were converted by the simple act of home teaching. My best friend is working on converting. you never know how one small act may change the lives of many. I have witnessed the power of the priesthood and prayer many times and I'm so thankful that Heavenly Father has given us those blessings. I understand my purpose in life and I hope to be able to help those who are struggling.

How I live my faith

Living in a small community it's a wonderful opportunity to share the gospel with those I come in contact with. Missionary opportunities arise everyday, so I'm able to spiritually feed my peers. While working with the youth organization I'm also able to physically help my community in ways that may be overlooked by others. I'm the Laurel's president at church so I'm also able to feed the members around me and not just the non-members.
