Hi I'm Kevin

I'm from Goleta, California. I'm a scientist. I'm a Student. and of course, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Goleta, California. I'm a biological sciences student. I love looking into the human body, observing cell activity, culturing things in petri dishes, and lots of other fun stuff. There are lots of things I don't know and understand, and lots of things that don't always seem to be consistent with what God has revealed. But I do have faith. Faith can not be proved or disproved by anyone. It is yours to keep and nurture. I can't see it, touch it, test it, or put it under a microscope, but I know that faith provides a surety that exceeds anything earthly. I may not know how all of the laws and theories of science coincide with the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but I'm sure one day I'll be able to ask him. Until then, I have faith. It holds me up when nothing else makes sense.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, and my testimony of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon are what have kept me going. The Lord asks us to experiment upon his words. I love experiments! You should try it. Read the Book of Mormon with intent to know if it is true. Read the Book of Mormon to learn more about Jesus Christ. Then pray about it. You'll get an answer, without fail. God will answer you in a way that will strengthen you and you will have a surety of the things you've learned. Once you have that, nobody can take it from you.

How I live my faith

Being a follower of Jesus Christ is the commitment of a lifetime. It requires consistency. I do my best to read the scriptures and pray every single day. I try my best to keep up a smile, because I know other peoples' smiles brighten up my day. I'd like to return the favor. I look for opportunities to serve others, even if it's just holding a door open. It makes my day a million times better! When you see someone, think about how you can make their burden a little lighter. That's what the Savior was all about. Let's give him a hand.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Both the great complexity and the simplicity of things in the universe are to me the greatest evidences of God that we can see. To be able to see the hand of God in all things though, it is required that we first have faith. Show more Show less
