Hi I'm Sarah

I love of fashion, exploring, and eating chocolate. I am a missionary in the Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student studying Journalism with a minor in Editing, but a the moment I am taking a year and a half off to serve a mission in Wisconsin, USA. I LOVE MISSIONS!! Serving the Lord has been incredible. I absolutely love to try new, odd foods and am mildly addicted to Frosted Mini Wheats. I love to read and am a news junkie. I adore fashion and I'm determined to para-sail one day. I have a small family, just mom and me, but we love it. She taught me to work hard and to keep your chin up and I've tried to do just that. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is amazing and I love it because of what it has made out of me. I am stronger and smarter and braver than I ever could have been without it. This gospel changes people! and that's why it's true.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints is the true church of God. I know that His plan of slavation has been restored to the earth and I absolutley love learning about it and getting to teach it. It's true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by what I do. I remind myself constantly that I am a child of God, and live my life according to what I know the Lord would have me do. Well, I try really hard to do that as much as possible. I am constantly trying to improve myself, trying to enhance my talents and to strengthen my weaknesses. I live the gospel closely because it makes me so happy. I am currently a Missionary for the Church because I love it so much. I was called by the Lord to serve in Wisconsin. I am getting so much joy out of sharing the gospel with others and love sharing this message of peace and understanding. The gospel is amazing! It saves lives and it has absolutely saved mine. I work every day from sun up to sun down trying to help others understand how Jesus Christ can bless their lives and I am so happy doing it.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Sarah
Tithing to me is one of the most amazing things about the church. We are asked as members to give a rather large portion of our income in order to help others of our faith that may be in need and to further the work of the Lord by building temples and sending missionaries out on missions. Money is a temporal substance, something that will only matter while we are on the earth. We can't take it with us, and no matter how much we amass, it won't make any difference when we die, so the way I see it, tithing is a way for members of the church to become involved personally. Though we have no power over where our money goes or what it will be eventually used for, the money we give is our sacrifice to the Lord and a way for us to be physically reminded of the spiritual commitments we make. I have felt great blessings in my life that have only been possible through tithing. I was raised the only child of a single mother, and there were many many times when we simply shouldn't have been able to get by on the money we had. I have a strong testimony of the fact that because my mother was faithful in paying her tithing consistently even through the hard times, the Lord has blessed us in ways we cannot even imagine. How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Sarah
Talk to the missionaries! The missionaries are amazing and would absolutely love to talk with you about this faith and how it can bless your life. At the top right of this website, there's a link called "Request a Visit" and from that link, you can have missionaries to you in less than a week. They are just real people, like you, and they love this church enough to go around sharing it with others. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Sarah
That is a great question. I pose to you another one: Do you believe in prayer? I do. I know through my experiences and through speaking with loved ones that prayer is an amazing and powerful thing. When we pray to our Heavenly Father, we are literally talking to the Creator of the Universe, the most powerful being in existence, all-knowing, all-seeing, all-loving. This powerful man is your father, and He loves you more than you can possibly imagine. He wants you to know what is good and true. He wants you to be so happy. That's how you can know if all of this Mormonism stuff is true. Just ask Him. I promise that as you sincerely pray to know with the full intention of acting on His answer, He will tell you what you need to know. Show more Show less
