Hi I'm Marla

I'm from Gilbert, Arizona. I love to exercise, cook, and spend time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending Brigham Young University and am engaged to a wonderful, kind, gentle, fun, and supportive man! I love music, sports, an trying to live a healthy a lifestyle! Growing up I was in choirs, plays and musicals and also had the opportunity to be in the cast of the Mesa Arizona Easter Pageant twice, which depicts the Saviors life. I love it! I also played soccer growing up, and then in High School picked up Volleyball and Basketball. I know that my body is a temple, a sacred gift from God, and love trying to treat it well by exercising and eating healthy. Cooking has become a recent passion of mine! I have a illness in my intestines and for the time being, the foods I can eat are limited - so I've been given the opportunity to be creative with my eating. My fiance and I love to cook together and in the process try fun, healthy new foods! I absolutely LOVE life! And look forward to when my fiance and I will be sealed together for time and all eternity in the House of the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, and seemed to always feel good when I was at church. I liked it. However, I consider my true conversion to the gospel to be when I was 14. I knew that the Book of Mormon was true, and began from that point on to go to church and keep the standards because I knew for MYSELF that it was true. I feel so much light, peace, and happiness- a complete closeness and love from God when I do. The reason why I have been a member of this church and why I continue to be, and will be for the rest of my life, is because it makes my life make sense and feel whole. I LOVE IT!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by little things I do each day, such as reading the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father. Through doing this I feel close to my Savior, Jesus Christ, and receive strength to face the day and all that will come my way. I also feel peace and happiness! On Sundays, I attending church and participate in those meetings. I also visit 2 women each month to share a spiritual message, talk about life together, and then see if there is anything I can do to help them.
