Hi I'm Maren

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a transplanted East Coaster enjoying life in sunny southern California with my husband and two young sons. I have a degree in economics and a minor in Spanish, but am constantly learning new things as I keep up with the interests of my family (ranging from politics to chemistry to airplanes) and my own pursuits (reading, cooking, and sewing, among others).

Why I am a Mormon

The doctrines of our church clearly teach of a God who loves each of His children and wants them to be happy in this life and eternally. I believe that I am a daughter of God, and I feel His love for me as I live the gospel. When trials have come into my life, I have felt peace through my faith in Him and through the atonement of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to love and serve others as the Savior would do. My current assignment in the church is to coordinate the visiting teaching program, which organizes the women in the congregation so that each one has someone to watch over her and provide service as needed. I also sing in the choir, and find great joy in sharing my testimony through music.
