Hi I'm Stetson

I grew up in Utah, I love my family, I love to have fun, I love sports, I'm serving a full-time Mission. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Utah, I love sports! Baseball, basketball, and football. Play or watch it doesn't matter! I'm a very active person. I always have to be doing something. My parents are dicvorced. I have 7 sisters and two brothers. My step father has been my role model my whole life. He is my 'dad'. I have some awesome close friends that have helped me to be who I am today. And that influenced me to make the right choices in life. I grew up in the church. I didn't always know for myself that the church was true. I didn't have a testimony because I just truly didn't know that it was that important to know. Then one day someone challanged me to read the Book of Mormon, and to truly ask god if it is true. I did it and I got the answer that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. From that point on I got a strong testimony. I felt a fire burning within myself. So I decided to serve a Full time Mission. It's been the best experience of my life. I am serving in the Ohio Cleveland Mission. I truly have gain a relationship with my Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ since reading the Book of Mormon. It's lead me to the path I know I'm suppose to be on. The path my Lord and Savior even Jesus Christ desires me to be on.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that by living the standards found in this church, I can be in perfect harmony with how Heavenly father wants me to live my life. I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. Then the Holy Ghost told me it was true. I am a Mormon because I have truly asked Heavenly Father for myself if it is indeed His true church. And by the same Spirit I was told it is. I have prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and I got the answer that he was. I am a Mormon because it just feels right. The peace I get everytime I go to church, read the Book of Mormon, or do many other things we do in the church is not like any other feeling I've ever felt anywhere else. I am a Mormon because the knowledge I have to know that God has again shown us that He loves us by calling a Prophet on the earth today. That continues to receive revelation from Him for us, that counsels us in the crazy world we live in where we need a prophet and modern revelation now more than ever before. It just shows me how much God loves us. I am a Mormon because in this church I have learned more about my Savior Jesus Christ then I ever could anywhere else. The knowledge I've gained about him means more to me than anything else. I have learned that through His atoning sacrifice I can be forgiven of any mistake I make and I have been forgiven of all the mistakes I have made. Being a Mormon has given me hope that even though I sin and fall short that Jesus Christ can and will pick me up and lift me higher. I am a Mormon because in this church there is more knowledge of Gods plan for me and about His Son's Gospel then in any other place I've found. I am a Mormon becuase being one has brought me so much happiness and joy in my life. I am a Mormon because I know God wants me to be one.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what I am currently doing. By setting aside two years of my life and dedicating it to Serving a full time mission in Ohio away from my family, friends, and other things I could be doing like going to college. I live my faith by doing all that I can to help others. I not only share the gospel with as many people as I can everyday but I look for opporunities while I am sharing the messege of the Restored Gospel with others to also serve them and others around them. I live my faith by attending church every week. And by living the things I have been taught to be true. Also by keeping every commandment all the time not just when I feel like it. I live my faith by praying everyday day and thanking God for all the blessings he's given me in my life. I live my faith by reading from the scriptures everyday and applying what I read to my everyday living. I believe that the biggest way I live my faith is by trying as hard as I can everyday to remember what Christ did for me and for everyone else. Not only remembering him some of the day but all day. And by trying my hardest to become more and more like He is. I live my faith by trusting in God that no matter what trial I face or no matter what He asks of me to do that it is to help me become the person He wants me to become and I do my best not to doubt. I live my faith by following the Prophet because I know God won't let the Prophet lead any of us astray.
