Hi I'm Greg Treuhaft

I grew up on the west coast of the U.S, served a Mormon mission in Korea, blessed to be married to my better half, and have 2 kids

About Me

I was married and sealed for eternity to my wife and we now have two wonderful children (Makayla and Troy). I love my family and enjoy spending time with them. I served a 2-year LDS service mission in Daejeon South Korea. I graduated from Brigham Young University - Idaho with a degree in Organizational Communications. I am passionate about the outdoors and love to recreate with my family whether biking, hiking, going to the beach, or out for a walk. I enjoy playing and watching sports. At the age of 7 I was riding a 1975 Honda Z50 and have enjoyed riding motorcycles since; particularly trail riding. I live by the scout law by being "trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, reverent."

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon but like everyone, there came a point in my life where I needed to know for myself its truth. Mine came right before I turned 12. Like any young person, I remember having a rough day at school, friends were forming attitudes and making decisions contrary to what my parents were teaching, and I needed help. I knelt down and prayed. I then flipped my scriptures open and began reading Doctrine and Covenants 84:43-45, 47. It reads, "43 And I now give unto you a commandment to beware concerning yourselves, to give diligent heed to the words of eternal life. 44 For you shall live by every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God. 45 For the word of the Lord is truth, and whatsoever is truth is light, and whatsoever is light is Spirit, even the Spirit of Jesus Christ. . 47 And every one that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit cometh unto God, even the Father. " After reading this passage of scripture, a sweet feeling came into my heart confirming what my parents were teaching me was true. That Jesus is the Christ. That the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church on the earth. It is His church. I have that witness. I encourage everyone to find out for yourselves by reading James 1:5 in the bible. I encourage everyone to read Moroni 10:3-5 in the Book of Mormon. I know that as your sincerely and humbly do so and pray to our Father in Heaven with earnest hearts, you will receive an answer. Come to know of its truth for yourself.

How I live my faith

I owe everything to my Father in Heaven. He has blessed me with the daily breath of life to having the family of my dreams. As a result, I have the earnest desire to keep His commandments and diligently live my faith. Every Sunday, you will find me at church with my family. (Almost:)) every evening, you will find my family and I reading scripture passages and saying prayer. While attending after-hour work socials, you will notice my glass of lemonade; temperance is required and members (me) of the Church abstain from alcoholic beverages - the same with tobacco, coffee and other habit-forming stimulants. I take every opportunity in kindness and boldness to share the wonderful message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with all. I strive to live a Christ-like life by serving those in need. "Many of you are burdened with unhappiness and worry and with guilt... Whoever you are and whatever you are, we reach out to extend to you the hand of fellowship so that we can lift one another and lift others (Elder Boyd K Packer)."
