Hi I'm Chase wester

I grew up in Jefferson, Georgia. I am currently enrolled at Brigham Young University located in Provo, Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I played football, basketball and ran track in high school. I earned my Eagle Scout the Winter of my Senior year, and I enjoy going outdoors whether it be hiking, biking, camping, and everything in between. I grew up a Florida Gator and BYU Cougar fan, and love watching football games. I enjoy good novels, and listening to music. I am currently in the process of working on my mission papers, and I look forward to finding out where I will serve for the next two years of my life. I am hoping to study Pre-Dental in college, and eventually make it into Dental school to become either a Dentist, or an orthodontist. I am the oldest of 3 kids, with a younger brother and a younger sister. I love this Gospel, and I know that following the teachings of my Heavenly Father will make me a very happy man throughout my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life. In some ways it has been a blessing, and also a curse. For most of my life, I have relied on my parents, and my church leaders testimonies to keep on going. Without a testimony of my own, I had many trials, and adversity that I had to overcome. When I finally began to gain a testimony of my own, I grew to be much more mature, and gained a much greater understanding of Heavenly Father's plan for us. This Gospel means so much to me. I have met so many amazing people through this church, and have seen many lives changed because of the Gospel. When I look at my life, no matter where I've been or what I was doing, I was never alone. God blessed me with so many great leaders in my life. Amazing role models that I could look up to, and go to when life got tough, and I had lost hope. This Gospel can change your life, but only if you completely open up and embrace it. My father has always told me that a testimony isn't built off of facts, it's built off of faith. It's built off of prayer, scripture study, and a desire to follow God's commandments. It took me 18 years to figure that out on my own, and It has completely changed my perspective on my life. I know that this church is true. There is not a doubt in my mind. I have seen it change lives, including my own. I know Joseph Smith had his prayers answered, and that he was commanded of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to restore the full gospel to the Earth. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson. I know that what he and his disciples teach us are from the mouth of God. I know that if you let this Gospel become an important part of your life, you will be blessed with a greater knowledge of the plan of happiness, and that you will begin to fully understand just how much our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us. Without the Gospel in my life, I would not be the man I am today. I know this without a doubt.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life, I have been one of few youth within my ward. I have been a leader of my youth group since the age of 12, and have usually only been the leader of five to six guys at the most during one time. I am now preparing to go off and serve a mission, which I am very excited about.
