Hi I'm Nate Pfister

I'm a Missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Nate, and I'm 24 years old. I've lived in New York, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Utah. I've helped start and manage an extremely successful online company and I've been working online for years. I'm currently preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka - The Mormons). I will be serving in the Washington Everett Mission. I LOVE golf. I've known I loved the game from the moment I picked up a little plastic golf club when I was 5 years old! My mom says I haven't put the clubs down since! I'm very active and enjoy all outdoor activities! Especially the dangerous ones! :) I'm a certified SCUBA diver. My goal is to someday dive with Great White Sharks in South Africa! I play softball on a community league, we have a perfect record - we've lost every game - and I've enjoyed every minute of it! :) I do everything in life backwards, sometimes intentionally, and sometimes not. However, I love the adventures I've had because of that! I love my friends, family, and complete strangers! Most of all, I love my Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

Quite a few members of my family have converted to the Mormon church. Growing up, I had the chance to talk to them and ask why. Their answers were always the same - "Because it's true". My mother was raised Lutheran, went to a Lutheran private school, etc. She told my siblings and I how she knew there was something more, something she hadn't been taught at church before...but she didn't know what it was. She found that missing piece in this church. Because of her, I've never had to feel that way. I didn't have to grow up with a piece of truth missing from my life. From the moment I learned Christ's name, and started attending His church I've had a testimony of the truth of it. I can't tell you clearly enough how much that has meant to me, to know of Christ, and my Father in Heaven. To know that all I have to do is listen to Him and he'll always be there to help. I KNOW God lives. I know His Son lives. I know that it's through His love for me that I have a knowledge of these things, and I thank him daily for it. If you're reading this, and you''re not a member of this church. I would encourage you to turn to Him. It doesn't matter if you join this church, just pray. He's there. He wants to hear from you. If you do, I promise you that you will come to know that He loves you! And that He never left you! I hope my testimony has given you something you've been looking for, or at least has been slightly interesting :)

How I live my faith

Being a member of this church has taught me how important it is to serve your neighbor. All my life, my church leaders have known I could be counted on to help a family move, or rake leaves from the yard of an elderly neighbor. In Ohio, I was very frequently called on Saturdays to provide some form of service. I'm pretty handy, so a lot of the time I would be fixing a faucet, a wall, or a gutter for a family who either had no one else, or couldn't afford anyone else. It's been a blessing to me to be able to provide these forms of service. Because of them, I've come to understand that service should extend beyond shoveling a driveway after a snow fall. Not that I discourage that! :) I believe that as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it's my responsibility, privilege, and calling to follow Christ's example and serve with all of my Heart, Might, Mind, and Strength. To me this means loving others with all of my Heart, giving Him all of my Might and influence through service, using my Mind to learn everything I'll need to be His servant, and then putting forward all of my Strength to make sure I don't pansy-out and quit! :)
