Hi I'm Chuck

I'm a Mormon. I joined the church when I was 42.

About Me

I went to BYU on a tennis scholarship where I was first introduced to the Church. I had very little interest in investigating and going to church. I currently own a private tennis club in Orange County, California. I have five children and six grand-children. My wife (she also attended BYU as a "non-member") and I joined the church together after 15 years of very active attendance.

Why I am a Mormon

After having children, life became more serious to me and I wanted to join a church that I felt had the greatest family values: the word of wisdom; chastity; and most importantly the ability (if we live righteously) to be able to live with our family for eternity.

How I live my faith

As members of our faith we are asked to volunteer for many assignments for service in the community and with other churches. We are also "called" to serve in our church by our Heavenly Father. None of us is paid for doing this. I have had the opportunity to serve with the youth in our ward, first as a leader and then as a bishop. I am currently called on a "Service Mission", (along with my wife) to serve with the Young Single Adults at the Orange Coast College Institute in Costa Mesa, three days a week. We are also serving in the Newport Beach Temple as Ordinance workers.
