Hi I'm Laree

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. My fondness for learning led me to become a teacher. I am now a tutor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a young girl I was conscious of my growing appreciation for hearing and reading explanations that enlightened my understanding. The classification of the parts of speech explained the correct usage of words in sentences. Findings about nutrition explained the guides given for the choices made in the partaking of food. For the subject of religion, the scriptures explained pre-mortal life, the purpose of earthly life, and post-mortal life for all of God’s children. That knowledge is valuable to me as I play the different roles in my life. I am grateful for my college education and training, and that I graduated from Brigham Young University. My fondness for learning prepared me to fullfill one of my goals of being a teacher. By being a student first it qualfied me to provide teaching to others. All my teaching experiences have been valuable, especially in watching others progress in their learning. Currently, I provide private instruction through tutoring.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church because I am convinced that the principles and doctrines taught therein are true and that the ordinances performed for members are performed by leaders who have the authority and power to perform them. I have come to my conviction of their truthfulness through study and prayer. I have learned that an apostasy from the Church that Jesus established during his earthly ministry occurred. I believe that a restoration has brought forth the organization of His Church on the earth in these latter days. I know the Church is the same approved church as it existed in His primitive Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking spiritual nourishment for my own growth and to guide my efforts to help others grow. I know I am doing right when I show love, kindness and respect to others. I have filled callings to serve in several positions in the Church. I have served in providing religious instruction to children. I have served as the classroom teacher of most of the age groups and as the coordinator of the program for children in the staffing and all around functioning. I have served as both an officer and a teacher for the instruction of girls from the ages of 12 to 18. The same callings have been filled by me in the program for adult women. I have served as a teacher trainer for the treachers in the Sunday school organization and for the teachers of the adult women at different times. The motto for the women's group is "Charity Never Faileth." All members are encouraged to provide service to anyone who is in need of help.
