Hi I'm Amber Lee Nielsen

I'm a health science major. I love running, singing, and yogurt. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just an average poor college girl trying to go somewhere in this world. I come from a big family with 6 girls, 1 boy, my siblings and family are my very best friends. I grew up in a small town in Northern Nevada where I participated in my high school choir and learned to love singing. I wouldn't say I'm the best, but I sure love it. I also love being active and healthy. I recently ran my first half marathon, and plan on running many more to come! I get excited about meeting new people and learning about their life story. I love new experiences and learning more and more about myself, who I am, and want to become.

Why I am a Mormon

Alright, let's be honest. I'm mormon because my parents are both mormon, and they're parents are mormon and so forth. But I choose to be, and live the mormon life on my own free will. Because I know that this the only true church and the only way to pure happiness and peace. I love having the perspective that I lived before I came to this life, and that this earthly experience isn't the end, and I get to be with my family forever. I love praying and knowing that my Heavenly Father hears every little prayer I give, and that even though he has the whole universe to look after, he listens to me and always gives me an answer. LIfe is hard sometimes, but I know everything in under His control. And if I live my life to the best I can be, I will be blessed because he loves me and knows I am trying. I know this, not because my parents have told me, but because I have felt in my heart that it is true, I wanted to know for myself and had my prayers answered. I love everything about being Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following and keeping the standards the LDS church has set. I try everyday to live and become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray and talk to God everyday. I read the scriptures, to learn about His life and the example He has set. I attend church every Sunday, to gain a deeper understanding of His gospel upon this earth today, and how I can draw close to him. I try to see everyone as He sees them, and love them in that way. I try to serve and help those who need it. I am not perfect, but I hope that one day after this earthly experience is over, I will be able to meet my maker and he will be proud of me and the life I have lived.
