Hi I'm McKay

I'm a football player, a food lover, an artist, a video game master, and I'm a Mormon. 801 all day.

About Me

Yo wassup?! I have 6 older brothers that are legit and 1 younger sister that's pretty sweet! My dad played professional baseball and my mom kicks it at home. I'm from a small town called Alpine, Utah and I love it. I played high school football and I'll be playing for the University of Utah when I return home from my mission in Kentucky! I love listening to all kinds of different music and I like to draw as well. My favorite food is cereal. I never ate my vegetables as a child. I'm a wannabe freestyle rapper and a beatboxer on the side. I've been known to drop some pretty sick rhymes. Chillin' with my homies is never a bad idea. Oh yeah, I really, really like video games and catchin' zzz's. I'm just a big kid at heart and chances are I'll never grow up.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but really never knew for sure if it was true. I always felt that it was but I wanted to know without a doubt. I tried my best to keep the commandments and I saw the blessings that came from doing so, but I still didn't feel like I knew that the Gospel was true. When I graduated high school I moved away from home and was living with my brother, who is a returned missionary, in Salt Lake City. The time was getting close for me to decide if I was going to serve a mission or not and my brother encouraged me to give up 2 years of my life for the Lord. Finally, I realized what I should do and decided to serve a mission. While I have been out here in Kentucky, I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it and I know that without a doubt, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church once again on the earth today. And I love it!

How I live my faith

Right now I'm currently serving a 2 year mission in the Great Kentucky Louisville Mission a.k.a. The GKLM! I love sharing the message of the Gospel with everybody. I try my best to be an example to others but there's times when I fall short. Just gotta take life one day at a time and live it to the fullest!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

McKay
A testimony is what I bear when I throw down some Gospel knowledge on fools! A testimony is a spiritual witness that allows me to say that I KNOW the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true and that I KNOW the Book of Mormon is true. No one can take a testimony away from you. Holla at ya boy! Show more Show less
