Hi I'm Marc

I am missionary going to Houston Texas spanish speaking, and i love all sports, music, friends, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am like any typical college student i study a lot and don't eat much. I have recently found a passion for biology and i plan on pursuing a career in that field. I love to play soccer! If i could I would play it 24/7! I love to sing i might not be the best but I don't care so i sing any chance i get. I like to go hiking, and seeing nature up close. I like being silly whenever the opportunity presents itself and i love to watch movies and quoting them! I like to play Ping Pong and board games. I like to swim and laying on a beach. Um i like to work on cars and building things. I like working on computers and other electronics. I like looking at the stars on a clear night. I like animals if i had my way i would want my very own zoo in my backyard.

Why I am a Mormon

The LDS church has always been in my life. My parents were converts to the church and I am so grateful that they accepted the gospel and passed it on to me. There is truly something amazing that the church has to offer. I was one of the select few that attended my high school and not I am not going to lie it was difficult being in that environment being a mormon. However I found that being a member of the church and living by it's standards like not drinking, doing drugs, smoking or abstaining from sex and not " going with the crowd" made me stand out in the eyes of many people. Sure i may have felt like the black sheep at times but by not doing those things blessed me in achieving my goals i set for myself. I know that this is the true church and that it was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that the Bible is true and the teachings we find in them still apply to us in these days. I know that we have living day prophets and that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet. I know that God is real and loves me and knows me personally and has a plan for me. I know that God sent his son Jesus Christ to atone for my sins. I know that the power of the atonement is real and that there is a life after we die and that the only way we can return to God is through Jesus Christ. This knowledge is what drives me to live to my full potential and brings great comfort in hard times.

How I live my faith

I love going to my friends and just visiting with them. Will I am here attending BYU-Idaho I am able to visit multiple people and provide service to them. I am so grateful for that opportunity. I love that there is so much opportunity to do service here and i try my hardest to capitalize on those opportunities. I think my favorite one is going to visit the elderly. It is so simple yet to them it means the world and they have some really cool stories to listen to. It is a day booster when i am walking to class and i see someone walking by themselves and i go and talk to them or holding the door for someone. These simple things are I think really important and we sometimes forget to do.
