Hi I'm Dorshan

I am an Army-Wife, Real Estate Manager, Homeschooling Mother, a Singer-Songwriter, and I am also a Mormon...

About Me

I am the oldest of four children and grew up in Ohio. I've been married 14 years and enjoy being an Army Wife. I have an amazing husband, and five *great* children! I enjoy the many aspects to music, camping, hiking, cooking, and working within Real Estate! I enjoy volunteering within my community, and truly value the gift and ability we have to educate our children.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church because I believe it is set up like the primitive church Christ set-up in the New Testament. I know there is a living prophet, apostles, etc... that testify and teach of Jesus Christ to prepare us for His Second Coming. I love reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon and seeing the parallels in my own life, and trying to see how I can apply the counsel given in my situation now in this time. I love the covenants made at baptism and in the temple that help me strive to love and serve others with charity. I have a testimony that the Priesthood has been restored. The blessings that has brought into my life is beyond my comprehension, but I feel it's binding power, and have seen it work miracles in my life. I love that no one gets paid in their ministry. This gospel is about a loving Heavenly Father who knows each of us by name. We shouldn't fear Him, but be humbled and learn in Him. I love that we are a world-wide church that teaches the message. Lastly, I am a member of this church because it has increased my personal relationship with my Savior greater than any other faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by waking up each day with the desire to do good and make a difference. I live my faith by repenting daily, and starting each week off by renewing my baptismal covenants. These acts (repenting daily & partaking of the sacrament to renew my covenants weekly) remind and center me in my personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. I've been really focusing on this aspect more and it has truly touched me and made a difference in my life.
