Hi I'm Liz

I'm a wife, Mom, a marketing manager, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I've been married 22 years to my best friend and I'm a Mom to three amazing children who are 19, 17, and 12. My family is my greatest blessing in my life! I enjoy singing and have written some songs with my husband. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Communications and have spent 20+ years working in technology. I recently moved from Utah to Northern California which has been a great opportunity for me to share my testimony and be a missionary! One of my favorite sayings is “Many of life's circumstances are created by three basic choices: the disciplines you choose to keep, the people you choose to be with; and, the laws you choose to obey”. The disciplines I choose to keep are my religion, my integrity, and my commitment to my family. The people I choose to be with are my family and friends who are "builders". The laws I choose to obey are laws of the land and spiritual laws and I find obeying them both brings me great happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for many reasons but the most important reason is the peace that the gospel and Savior bring to my life. I've had many challenges and the gospel gives me great peace that everything will work out and that I am not forgotten by my Father in Heaven. One important principle you learn as part of the gospel is an eternal perspective. From an early age I really understood this principle and it has helped me get through many hard times in my life. I've always been a member but when I was 18 I had a profound dream that changed my life forever. I had a dream in which I met the Savior and he asked me if I was worthy to follow him. I vowed at that moment to live the type of life that when he asks me that in real life that I will be able to say yes!

How I live my faith

Right now I'm the nursery leader in my branch which means I take care of the little children 18 -36 months during one hour of church. We play, I read them books, I teach them a lesson, we blow bubbles (and chase them) and sometimes dance to music. Seeing my little kids every Sunday has has become the highlight of my week! During my life I have had many church callings but my favorite has been with the Primary children (ages 3- 12) and Young Women (ages 12-18). I LOVE LOVE LOVE being with the young people as they are so amazing and give me great hope for the future.
