Hi I'm Bob Ferrini

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints in 1980. I am of Italian and English background. My reseach has shown me that my English ancestors came over on the Mayflower from England. That is exciting. It means my ancestors and the Prophets ancestors were on the Mayflower and most likely were friends. Recently, as I was reading the Ensign, I was reading a story about the Italian LDS members. Then to my surprise, it mentioned a Branch President and his his last name, Italian, was the same as mine. No one in my family is LDS, but me. I am so glad I was was able to find the faith of my Father. I never believed that changing religions was dishonoring my earthly father. I sure , if he were alive when I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he would have been happy for me. I have had nothing but happiness as a latter day saint.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I believe Heavenly Father is real. I joined the church because I was searching for a church that taught that Heavenly Father wanted us to know all about Him, his Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. A church that taught that nothing was secret and we as his children should be able to learn all we could on this earth so that we could prepare to be with Him in the eternity. His Son, Jesus Christ died on the cross and led the path by taking our sins for our eternal glory, if only we were to follow Him.

How I live my faith

You have great oppportunities in the church to be able to grow spiritually and temporally. The church has no paid clergy, everthing thing is volunteer. You are exposed to many learning opportunities. The limit that you may reach is up to you. You may teach children or adults or both, do proselyting for the Lord, be a financial clerk, be a Branch or Ward President or many other things.. Does this sound scary or more than you think you ever can accomplish? The Lord leads and allows us to achieve goals we never thought we could reach. I love this church and now some 30 years +, I can think of no other way to live.
