Hi I'm Skip

I'm a Mormon, a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I joined in 1971 while attending BYU, Provo, UT.

About Me

I have lived around the world, but call the Metropolitan Washington, DC (Northern Virginia) home, and I have love it here. I am the father of seven (six daughters & one son) and four grand children and I am blessed to share life's journey with my best friend and wife Emily. I graduated from BYU in 1977 and spent twelve years as an Army officer before consulting on technical communication support for various world leaders visiting Washington, DC. It is an incredible international experience. I love to sing, cook, and study languages & world history. I love people and the grand diversity of Heavenly Father's children.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always known the

How I live my faith

I take life one day at a time, and try to pace myself. I have found this to be helpful, in not getting too far ahead of the inspiration the Lord has provided to help me govern myself. I have served in many varied assignments in the church and have discovered that service is love, as I have come to love all the people I have been called to serve.
