Hi I'm Adam

I am a snowboarder, swimmer, a Mechanical Engineer, and I am revolutionizing the world we live in, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

So this year I will be continuing my schooling to get a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I enjoy swimming and water polo, and I competed in both throughout high school and still do whenever I get the chance. I am an avid snowboarder and look forward to the first snow every year. I also took up ballroom dancing at Southern Utah University a few years ago and I really enjoy it. I mostly dance international Latin style and hope to compete more in the next few years. Other than that I love to spend time outside doing whatever I can with family and friends. I am just your average engineering-ballroom dancing-swimming-snow boarding mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the hope that it brings. I am a Mormon because I know that it is Christ church once again established on the earth again in its fullness, that his priesthood authority was restored through a prophet of god. I am a Mormon because all of the pieces of the gospel just fit together into an undeniable whole and make complete sense. I know that these are true because of the witness that I gained from reading the Book of Mormon and praying to my Heavenly Father about it. I have read from its pages many times and have found a wealth of knowledge every time that I read. I am so grateful to have the knowledge that I can ask my Heavenly Father at any time if it is true and he will tell me again and again. I do it frequently so that I can always have that peace and assurance that the gospel is the truth and will make me happy. I love my Heavenly Father so much for sending a savior to redeem me. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and for his willingness to be that atoning sacrifice so that I may return to live with them and my family again. Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for the gospel and for the blessings that it brings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by just being an upstanding citizen and serving every chance that I get. I strive to be better every day so that I can be in instrument in God's hands. Currently I am focusing on school so I can go out into the world and be a contributing member of our society and be "an example of the believers" as said in Timothy 4:12. I try daily to gain the attributes our Savior Jesus Christ taught us; that is Faith, Charity and Love, Obedience, Service, and so much more. I really don't serve in an miraculous calling or in any special place or position but I know without a doubt that I can be a servant of my Heavenly father every day and love all those around me.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Adam
Really you can know that it is true by checking it out and putting your faith in god. If you take the experience that you have with the church seriously and you do your part you will know the truth of the gospel. Your part is really easy too! All you have to do is read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. The Book of Mormon is that evidence that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and in turn, restored Christ's true church. After you read it then you have to pray and ask God. God is the source of all truth. He will never lie to you and he will always give you an answer. He loves you so very much and he wants what is best for you always. You might be wondering "How can I know that I have received an answer?” In the scriptures we learn that "the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance" (Galatians 5:22-23). Over all it is a feeling of piece or comfort. Our Heavenly Father will lead you where you need to go to be happy. So ask god if it is true and put your faith in his answer. Remember faith is a principle of action when you receive an answer you should act on it. Show more Show less
