Hi I'm Matt

I am a devoted father and husband. I am an MBA student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Idaho along with four brothers and two sisters. I was very fortunate to be raised in a home where love and faith were guiding principles. When I was 19 I left for Taiwan to serve a full-time (two years) mission for the LDS church. There I learned Mandarin Chinese and grew in my faith in Jesus Christ. I am since married with three children. Everything I do revolves around my family and I would not have it any other way- they are the motivation for everything I do. I am currently a graduate student at an international business school and have the opportunity to learn from people from all over the globe along with various cultures and religions.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an active Mormon family where my parents taught me and my siblings to gain our own knowledge of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through personal prayer and scripture study. I continue to feel the truthfulness of the gospel as I strive to follow in my Savior's footsteps. I am also a Mormon because I want my children to grow in the faith of Jesus Christ and I have seen how following the principles taught in the church can help families cultivate loving bonds that last beyond this life.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly, I read the scriptures, and I communicate with my Heavenly Father regularly through personal prayer. My wife and I strive to teach our own children to be respectful of all and serve others when given the opportunity. While I, like everyone else, am not perfect in my efforts to be like our Savior Jesus Christ, I am constantly striving to improve on my many weaknesses and shortcomings. My wife is an amazing example that I try to keep up with as I strive to be a better person.
